This subtitled video from Christian organization in Thailand paints a perfect picture of His unconditional love and grace for us. While we are selfish, undeserving and sinful children, our Father loves us so much, He sent His perfect Son to die for us.

Grab the tissues–this video will touch you deeply. Romans 5:8 but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Share this powerful video with someone you love that needs to hear this message and then encourage them to learn here of how to find the peace the surpasses all understanding.

Remember, until a person’s heart is moved by the love of God, there will be no consideration about moving the direction of his or her path in eternity.

Our childhood art teachers did us a favor when they showed us how to make chains of people without a lot of effort.

It was all in the planning.

Done well, the chain of people, each defined by individual styles and ambitions, would unfold into something exciting and worth keeping.

And so it is to be with chains of  people linked not with construction people and scissors but with common purposes and Holy Spirit-led cutting away from our lives of things not serving the Lord.

Please join with us as we seek God’s strength and God’s leading as we strive to become more like Jesus and less like our old selves.   That effort can begin this Sunday.

Christians are called to offer food to the hungry when the opportunity arises.  That’s why SouthWinds Christian Church has launched the Bag of Blessings outreach as part of her iCan Ministry.

The mission is to provide a day’s worth of food and water to a hungry and/or homeless person in the name of Jesus.  The printed canvas bag is to show the person that this is a gift to them from God. 

Dozens of these bags have already by distributed in the community with more going out each week.  Please consider sponsoring a bag at $4 each in order to cover the direct cost.  Better yet, please contact the church office by CLICKING HERE and make arrangements to pick up several bags.  Perhaps your co-workers or neighbors will want to join in participating in this ministry.

Those who have handed out the bags have reported a great measure of satisfaction in giving the begging something that they know will actually help them.

It’s the overflow of the heart that speaks so clearly. An overflow of thankfulness. And of awe.

That’s what makes true worship so special. To God. And to His people.

When love verbalized becomes the worship God desires, there is a depth of meaning that cannot be captured by words. Instead, it can only be described.

This is what we yearn to experience each week at SouthWinds Christian Church — encounters between God’s heart and our own.

There is worship with singing. There is worship with the playing of instruments. There is worship with the outpouring of encouraging words into one another’s lives. There is worship with the teaching from God’s Word.

There is worship among children and worship among adults.

We were made for worship.

Please make it to our services this Sunday so that you can join us in doing that for which God created you.

None of us likes being fooled.

It just makes us feel so … well… foolish.

The problem is that it happens too much.  For each of us.  We think that doing something different from God’s way will be okay.  Perhaps it will cross from simply “okay” over to being outstandingly delightful.

At least that’s what we might think at the moment before the truth comes out and our pride heads for cover.

Oh, we know we’ve been tricked in the past.  Perhaps we’re being tricked now.  God is never fooled, though.

Please allow this video to stir your heart into a greater awareness of Satan’s trickery.  The more often you recall just how bad sin is, the more often you’ll stay on the path that only produces blessing.  The RIGHT path.  The path of Truth.

“And whatever you do, whether in word or in deed, do it all for the glory of God” (Colossians 3:17).

“You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven.” (Matthew 5:43-45).

My goodness. Jesus said that if I want to be considered a child of God, then I need to pour love into the lives of those who oppose me and pour out prayers on behalf of those who persecute me.

Like I said, I’m in a good season just now and not having to stretch when it comes to loving and praying for all those around me. But I realize that things can change and I need to be willing to do whatever Christ requires when such times arise.

You might be under attack at work or school or home or even at church in one way or another.

Love those who aren’t loving you.

Pray for those who are preying upon you.

Perhaps that will change their attitudes toward you.

But even if it doesn’t, you’ll be showing that you have the desire to be seen as one of God’s children.

And that’s always a good thing.
